A Dream Realized
A dream come true
In 2013, Werner, Barbara and son Stephan von Berg set foot in South Africa for the first time, drawn by the country's breathtaking landscapes, rich culture and warm hospitality. What began as a journey of discovery soon turned into a love affair with the country. A decade later, in 2023, their passion prompted them to take a bold step: they purchased a farm in the Stellenbosch Winelands, relying solely on the promise of its beauty and potential.
Werner and Barbara invested a great deal of time in South Africa to dedicate themselves to restoring and transforming the property into Von.Wyn.Berg, creating a luxury guest farm that combines heritage with modern elegance. Every corner of the farm reflects her vision - where nature meets cultivated comfort and guests can experience the essence of the Winelands in a very special way.
Outside of South Africa, Barbara and Werner are no strangers to hospitality. They also own Hotel Dorfmühle in Lehrberg, Germany, a charming retreat that epitomises the same dedication to quality, comfort and exceptional guest experiences.
